I am SO thrilled about the popularity of this blog! Thank you for trusting me as your source for honest information about my life as an entrepreneur and boutique owner. I get so many similar questions sent to my inbox, I thought an blog post about the most frequently asked questions would be helpful, so lets jump in! As always, this information is not affiliated with LuLaRoe corporate and is merely my opinion about the business based on my experience as a top leader and long time business owner.
Do I get to choose what I sell?
No, at this moment there are 3 packages available for your "boutique in a box". E-mail me at email@example.com and i'll gladly send that information your way.
Does LuLaRoe offer smaller packages, consignment or financing for my start-up?
Currently, neither LuLaRoe or our team offer smaller packages, alternative packages or financing.
How soon can I start my LuLaRoe business?
At the moment there's a 6-8 week waiting period to on-board with LuLaRoe.
What do I do during that waiting period?
During that wait, i'll spend time giving you the personalized training you need to prepare for your business. I offer a comprehensive training website, check-in phone calls to assist with your specific questions & customized plan to tailor your business to best work for you.
When do I pay for the package I choose?
At the end of your waiting period is when you'll pay in full for the on-boarding package of your choice.
I'm worried about funding my business, what are my options?
I recommend seeking financing through your financial institution, a personal loan from a family member or friend or raising funds through avenues such as garage sales, bake sales, etc. We do not offer financing or assistance in your funding to join our team.
How can I ensure paying off my initial cost quickly?
Paying off your initial cost depends on how much time you invest in your business and how aggressive you are with booking both in person and online pop-ups. Results of this business vary on individual case by case basis and our recommendation is to hit the ground running to get your business started off right. We strongly believe the amount of efforts will directly determine the results of your business and make absolutely no promises of success because at the end of the day, that's up to you!
How long does it take for the average consultant to pay off their initial costs?
Most consultants on our team recoup their initial costs within the first 90 - 120 days.
What if I decide this isn't the right business for me?
In the event that you may need to cancel your contract you can at least recuperate the initial cost by selling your inventory to other consultants at wholesale, which is what we recommend.
Can I sign on with a partner?
Currently, LuLaRoe does not allow partnerships. Our recommendation is to seek legal counsel in drafting paperwork for a partnership existing outside of yourcontract.
I live outside of the United States, can I become a consultant?
Currently LuLaRoe has not expanded to overseas countries.
Is LuLaRoe oversaturated with consultants?
Definitely not! We know this because...when was the last time you saw someone wearing LuLaRoe in your city? There's still plenty of room for growth!
Where do I find my customer base?
As a LuLaRoe boutique owner, it's your job to use your personal network to expand brand awareness. We highly recommend growing your customer base by inviting your friends, family, coworkers, various organization members to enjoy the clothing. As time goes on, those are the same people that will be your front line asset in referrals and business growth.
When will my business become profitable?
Just like any business, it takes time to become profitable. In order to grow your sales, you need to have a constant stream of new inventory coming in and you'll need to grow your inventory for some time to allow for plenty of options for your shoppers. My recommendation is that once you've reached an inventory size of 700-1000 pieces, you can begin to take a profit. Reaching this inventory size can typically happen within the first 6 months of your business if you follow my recommended business model.
Someone told me I can get rich quickly & easily selling LuLaRoe, is that true?
Absolutely not! Just like any business, this takes time and effort on your behalf. Your success falls on your shoulders.
Can I work a full time job or attend college full time and sell LuLaRoe?
Definitely! Many LuLaRoe consultants do one or both while also operating their boutiques. Again, your results will vary depending on the time and effort your invest in your business.
